love or something like that

There comes a time in everyone’s life in which they question their existence and their real aim in life. And when that question comes, I couldn’t help but wonder that is life an individual existence or a quest to find yourself someone who completes you. But then if we need someone to complete us, as we essentially incomplete.
That brought me to the age old concept of soul mates, reality or torture device??
If we only have one soul mate, does it mean that we are suppose to love only one person. If yes, who knows or who can tell who the one is. And what about the others, where they just runner’s up to the contest of” Find your soul mate”.
As we move from age box to age box, the chances of finding the one, lessen so do we waver away from the path of finding ourselves the one person, we were actually made for.
How do we know in the path called life, we didn’t leave our soul mate behind.
But then again, is their something know as a soul mate. Soul itself is a big word, whose existence is yet in question. So what if we were meant to be not with soul mates, but essentially with someone who quiet understands us for who we are and accepts us for what we are.
But then again, isn’t this task equally or more difficult in this world of complexity and unique thoughts. Where no two people ever think alike or are alike. Isn’t it impossible to find yourselves that someone?
And then when you feel you have done this Herculean task can you be sure there couldn’t be any one better suited for you only if you would have waited longer.

The underlying question to all this is fundamentally an understanding of the whole concept of the big word “love”. The whole concept today seems unlikely. The fairy tale concept of True Love and happily ever after. Today are in question.
So the real question does love really exist, or do we make ourselves believe in the over the top, flamboyant feeling.
